As our Production Manager, you'll be a critical leader of our tight-knit Production & Ops team at our Richmond-based distillery and headquarters. You’ll be responsible for all levels of the production process. From managing the Production team, to production itself, to inventory, to regulatory components, you’ll be on the front lines day in and day out. You’ll work cross functionally with all departments to ensure alignment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
PRODUCTION LEADER
Produce our moonshine and canned cocktail lines to the highest standards
Provide leadership and management to production team
Own our materials supply chain
Run automated bottling and canning lines
Establish and manage SOPs to ensure that products are packaged consistently
PROJECT MANAGER
Promote continual output improvements and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability
Articulate and defend standards
Drive distillery performance and compliance with quality standards
Provide timely, helpful, and accurate feedback to improve processes to keep work on budget and on schedule (ie. Liquids schedule, freight schedule, etc)
Ensure all data has been logged properly via our internal tracking platform
Help lead the research and development charge
TEAM MEMBER
Be a lifelong learner and help our team cross-functionally problem solve
Manage the day-to-day organization, cleanliness, and maintenance of the distillery
Assist with all team needs where applicable, including production floor and equipment cleanliness/maintenance
Help Belle Isle continue to be a fun place to work (and play)
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years experience in the craft brewing/distilling industry
Workflow management skills (Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing preferred)
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Highly organized with keen attention to detail
Ability to manage and supervise staff
Focused problem-solver with the ability to stay calm and work under pressure and deadlines
Comfortable with computers and technology
Willingness to continue education and help drive innovation
ADDITIONAL INFO
Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to hit deadlines: days, nights and or weekends
Forklift certified (Certification available through Belle Isle)
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach, crouch, kneel, crawl or bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
