Day 6: Winter Spice Infusion

Winter Spice Infusion


  • 1 750 ml bottle Belle Isle Premium Moonshine
  • 1 orange peel
  • 2 pods star anise 
  • 1 tbs all spice
  • 1 tbs clove
  • 1 tbs nutmeg
  • 2 cinnamon sticks


Torch spices in metal bowl, torch orange peels. Add all ingredients to jar with moonshine, shake. Let sit 2 days, strain.


Cocktail: Down with the shine the perfect shine


  • 1.5oz Winter Spice Infusion
  • 1oz Apple Shrub (recipe below)

Shake Shake, strain into glass. Add 3 oz foggy ridge serious cider. Garnish with Apple.

Apple Shrub Recipe: 

  • 1 cup Apple juice 
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar

Heat liquid, whisk in sugar.
