Even though some parts of the country (like right here at our Richmond HQ) are still feeling a bit of a chill, the end of the ice is finally in sight. The days have already started getting longer, flowers are doing that whole "blooming" thing, and the sunshine has returned to bless us with some much needed Vitamin D.

Among the best parts of Spring's arrival, though, are the cocktail shakeups. Time to (temporarily) retire those old-fashioneds and negronis for lighter, brighter, more refreshing fare. From fruity and fresh to frothy and floral, let us show you how to make some of Belle Isle Moonshine's favorite spring cocktails, perfect for patio sipping, garden partying, brunch drinking, and beyond. Dust off that bottle of St. Germain and pick those sprouting herbs out of the ground. It's time to toast to Spring!

Hell's Belles

This flower-bomb of a cocktail features notes of lavender, elderflower, hibiscus, and grapefruit. It's basically like a garden in your mouth. You know, in a good way.

Belle Vie

Full disclosure: this one takes some effort, but the end result is so worth it! Coconut cream and Kaffir-washed Belle Isle Black Label is the base for this bright, frothy spin on a classic sour.

Honey Badger

Orange and St. Germain lend a floral, citrusy sweetness to this complex cocktail, while Belle Isle Honey Habanero and jalapeño bring the heat. Also: please Google "honey badger," because they're really cute.

Lavender Coffee Hour

Lavender Cold Brew Coffee may be the easiest, quickest, and most delicious infusion we've seen yet! Just add tonic water, and you'll have a delicious drink that's super simple to make, yet surprisingly complex on the palate.

Belle Isle Moonshine is a premium, handcrafted spirit proudly hailing from Richmond, Virginia.

We take the name Belle Isle from a small, 540-acre island located smack dab in the middle of the James River where Civil War soldiers used surplus corn rations to make moonshine in copper kettles.

Belle Isle Moonshine is distilled from 100% organic corn, grown by three family farms and responsibly sourced. Once triple-distilled, we charcoal filter Belle Isle four times over. Then, we cut it with purified water right from the James River. Our infusions are made with 100% real ingredients, never artificial flavors or color. We use real grapefruits sourced from Texas and California, local honey from the Shenandoah Valley, organic habaneros grown an hour away, and freshly roasted coffee beans from the most socially conscious roastery in Richmond, Blanchard's Coffee Roasting Co.

From there, each bottle of Belle Isle Moonshine is filled, corked, labeled, and packed by hand by our Production team, who check each bottle and batch for quality assurance. Since Belle Isle is made in small batches, you can find the batch number handwritten in the bottom right corner of each bottle.
